Breathing dust or water droplets containing contaminated bird or bat droppings can lead to several diseases even in otherwise healthy individuals, including, but not limited to; Histoplasmosis, Cryptococcosis and Chlamydia Psittaci.
Improper hazard control, PPE and project planning may lead to unnecessary exposure of workers to these pathogenic agents causing disease and debilitation.
This course includes an overview of fungal hazards as it applies to the identification and clean-up of bird and bat droppings.
